It can be difficult to determine when it’s appropriate to communicate your water utility’s program plans, especially as it relates to the lead and copper regulations, and the status of your inventory. While often deemed a sensitive topic, comms can be an effective and optimized channel, especially as it applies to LCRR, when used at the right time and with the appropriate context. Join us for a discussion on Tuesday, October 25th at 1pm EST with WaterPIO’s President, Mike McGill and 120Water’s Director of Client Experience, Logan Turner, to discuss best practices for using comms in your LCRR programs and inventory development. During this time we’ll discuss:
- Tips for developing an effective comms strategy
- How a Comms campaign can be useful to validate your inventory
- Use cases for meeting compliance using Comms best practices
- The impact surveys can have on real-time customer side validation
Be sure to submit any questions you have around Communications for Mike and Logan when you register. Even if you can't attend the session live, all registrants will receive the webinar recording.

Mike McGill is the founder and President of WaterPIO/LeadCopperRule.com, which helps water utilities develop and implement communications strategies that improve connections with customers while saving teams time and resources. Mike knows firsthand the limited budget and attention most water services receive until there’s an emergency. As a result, he’s been able to provide water utility leaders the right resources to effectively communicate with their communities on both a regular and emergency based cadence. A former network news producer, Mike brings over 20 years of comms experience and is a great resource for providing best practices to your system.

Logan Turner serves as the Director of Client Experience at 120Water and has worked with dozens of systems to develop and execute a comms strategy to validate their preliminary inventories under LCRR. As a result, Logan has the insights to share use cases and the impact a well-developed comms campaign can have on customer side validation.
